Olympic Family - Cheektowaga

On Mother's Day, my family and I went to this restaurant with high hopes. My daughter had arranged a special brunch and arrived early to secure a table for our large group. We had two tables and she politely asked if we could sit next to my other daughter and her family. However, we were told to wait until everyone in our party had arrived. When I got there, my daughter took us to the table she had reserved for us. We were warmly greeted by a friendly waitress and enjoyed a pleasant conversation. Unfortunately, our experience took a turn for the worse when another employee approached us and loudly accused us of cutting in line in front of everyone in the restaurant. Despite my daughter waiting and requesting the table, we were embarrassed by the public confrontation. We had never been treated so poorly at a restaurant before and were at a loss for how to respond. We had no intention of cutting in line and simply wanted to enjoy our Mother's Day meal. We felt awful for my daughter, who had thought we could be seated once we arrived and did not realize she needed to check in again at the front. Before we could explain ourselves, the employee began shouting at us again. We were so upset that we considered leaving, but were told to stay since we were already there. The situation was mishandled so poorly that it left a bad taste in our mouths. We were not given a chance to explain and were treated disrespectfully. I felt sick to my stomach and stayed only for the sake of my daughter. The employee could have approached us calmly and asked what had happened, but instead chose to publicly shame us. We will not be coming back to this restaurant and will advise others not to as well. It is disheartening to be treated this way, especially on a day meant for celebrating mothers.

I had only ever ordered Olympic from a delivery service, so we decided to go sit down one morning instead. We arrived around 9:30am on a Sunday and there was ample seating available. We both ordered the pitamelettes with home fries on the side after it was recommended by our waitress. They were absolutely delicious and a unique idea! I would have loved some tzatziki though. The home fries were also great and a huge portion. My only complaint would be that our waitress checked in on us a bit too often, but that could just be my preference. I would definitely return!

Our group of 4 was seated with 3 other groups at the same time at 6 PM. We were given water but then ignored for 10 minutes while other tables got drinks and ordered. We had to flag down a server to remind them we were still waiting. Finally, we were able to order after 20 minutes, but our server did not check on us or refill our drinks. Our food took an hour to arrive, along with our checks, indicating that they wanted us to leave. We will not be returning and do not recommend this restaurant.

Great service, great and tasty food, great prices. Highly recommended. I would like to try their breakfastone day.
