Had lunch today with my family. Very disappointed with the service and the food. The soup was at room temperature, very liquid...the bacon was mostly just fat and not crispy, very small portions served so we had to constantly ask for refills. Our server seemed unhappy to be doing her job. We had to chase her for coffee refills, salt, water.... We were there last year and it was so much better. This year, they added more tables and very little space left between tables. We will not be going back next year.
Food was good and service was great. We were there for a sugar bush thingy. They had back. So works for me
Ate there today with a group of 16. Getting in was a bit tough as tables were turning over but once in the experience was fantastic. Lovely decore with a great view out over the vignes if you are near the window. An employee told us they had just changed chefs which might explain the spotty reviews because the food for us today was amazing! Started off with the best pea soup we have ever had and warm baguette bread. Then large bowls of food were brought to the table to share. Light and fluffy scrambled eggs. Huge bowl of bacon and sausages. Baked beans. Chicken meatballs. Broiled potato quarters. Then finished with pancakes and sugar pie. Full containers of their home reduced maple syrup were on the table to cover everything. Have not eaten dinner because I’m still borderline in a food coma. For an extra fee you can pay to go to their sugar shack where they are currently boiling sap and get maple taffy on the snow. Be sure to dress in lighter clothes as it sits around 120 people and does get quite warm when full and all the food is out. If you are a well “insulated” individual I could see you being a bit uncomfortable. Afterwards drop by at Alpagas Chelsea just up the road $5 adults and $3 kids). Not really petting zoo but they are crazy cute, there is a great Pyrenees who loves pets and one of their Alpagas was leaning up against the fence today searching for scritches. Their gift shop has socks and the like made from their wool and my wife says they are the warmest, most comfortable socks she has ever had.
The food is excellent, the owner is very present and incredibly friendly. I highly recommend it to everyone!
