The grounds surrounding the restaurant were beautifuli was not expecting a white table cloth restaurant from the rustic style house.

Undoubtedly the best french meal i’ve ever had in canada or in Paris!__The venue itself is upscale but cozy and homely at the same time.

Excellent food and great wine list. we had a great night. they continue to use locally grown.

Beautiful and charming! Definitely worth the visit! Located next to Gatineau Park in a historic building...this is a must-try experience!

On May 25th, 2024, I celebrated my birthday at L'Oree Du Bois in Old Chelsea. It had been about 20 years since my last visit and I was excited for a special dinner. The evening did not live up to expectations. I was joined by my friends Susana and Omar, who were dressed elegantly. Despite arriving for our 7:30 reservation, there was a long wait before our server greeted us. The service continued to disappoint as we had to repeatedly ask for bread and waited a long time for our food and drinks. The quality of the appetizers and main courses was poor, with the filet mignon being undercooked and inedible when it finally arrived. When I expressed my disappointment to the staff, they were dismissive and eventually asked us to leave the restaurant. Overall, it was a terrible dining experience and I will not be returning to L'Oree Du Bois. It is a shame to see a once fine establishment fall so far.
