Koj - Cheltenham

This small, intimate restaurant has a vibrant atmosphere. The staff is warm and professional, and the food is undoubtedly the best Japanese cuisine we've had outside of Japan! It's flavorful and authentic, and I plan to return regularly. There was just one minor issue—there was a slight problem with the tap water. Regardless, this place deserves to be at the top of our list for dinner options!

The staff here is incredibly friendly and welcoming. It was a delight to chat with a knowledgeable and passionate waiter about the menu. The crab dish was exceptional—absolutely delicious! The fried chicken and the beetroot and walnut salad were divine as well. This place is fantastic, and I highly recommend it. It was our first date night since having a baby, and it was exactly what we needed. Thank you!

We had the most incredible Japanese meal here, the staff was friendly and very well known. I can honestly say it is the only restaurant where I was where I enjoyed the vegetarian dishes as much as the meat and fish! the cauliflower was out of this world and the calf! also the crabbunk was to die, thanks to so much we can not wait for our next visit!

Last night, my partner organized a fantastic meal at Koj for my birthday. We chose the meal for two, which featured a variety of dishes, and it was absolutely brilliant. We thoroughly enjoyed the surprise of each course, and it was a wonderful opportunity to discover what we liked from the menu. We will definitely be returning in the future! Thank you for a lovely evening. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I would 100% recommend it to all our friends and family.

The penultimate pop up before it goes permanent wss as delightful as ever. The barman was visiting his girlfriend shoo the awesome smoked cocktails were off the menu but since we were there for lunch that didn't matter. How so much flavour can be crammed into such small bowls is a mystery. Even humble miso soup tastes rich and full. As for the buns... Juicy duck or pork. Both magical. The place closes for a refit today but I anticipate the reopening in early February with impatience. Cool place, hot food!
