Le Carpe Diem - Cherbourg-en-Cotentin

We visited this port city just a week ago and enjoyed a walk around the city admire the architecture and the market in general de Gaulle square. We are hungry and decided to try this cafe for lunch and look forward to it. when we... lost inside, enjoyed a beer and relaxed, as the café was very busy. we asked to have a meal, but due to reservations we had to sit on the terrace undercover. That was good for us because we were on foot without reservations. I had tartine italian, red wine and an apple rhubarb crisis that was excellent and knew that everything was made on the menu for this day, it was fresh and from the market before us. Thanks to the owner and the girl who made this meal especially here in france merci!!! :0)

We stopped in here for a drink before heading off on the ferry to the UK. The place is cosy and inviting and host was incredibly friendly and helpful. They have a great variety of wines and beers and although we didn't eat as we...were still full from lunch, the menu was most tempting, as were the freshly baked biscuits on the counter. A lovely place to relax and enjoy a drink. Highly recommended

Soirée tapas du vendredi, 5 plats différents présentés sur une assiette, joliment présentés et bien cuisinés, dessert un poil chers, mais service souriant et tonique. Un bon moment.
