A good place to drop by near the highway for lunch, dinner or even a quick bite a small deviation from xray jn. The continental cuisine is the best with lots of varieties in non veg and veg dishes. Ample car park, hygienic kitchen, average pricing and friendly staff make a right place to take a break during travel. But the star of the cafe is the chef the food is awesome. Highly recommended.
Got down at Cherthala railway station and I was searching for a restaurant to have lunch. The Cafe Green Grass menu caught my attention it was different f om what other restaurants had to offer. Decided to try it out and I should say it was AMAZING!!! Started off with a loaded fries, that came in good quantity, and fries having a mild flavour of mint that was different. Chicken topping could have been a bit crispier, but it was good. The pulled beef burger with barbeque falvoured pulled beef tasted very similar to the ones I've eaten from heirloom joints in North Carolina and Georgia in USA. The authenticity of taste is very evident rather than being a mere imitation. The pasta was creamy and rich, and the mushroom blended in so well. Really appreciate the chef and the team behind this restaurant. It was a great experience to dine there. The place was neat and clean, a simple place with carefully set up ambience. I wish them all the best and hope they grow into a bigger, nicer place when I visit again.
A small place ideal for a silent evening dinner. (Its easy to miss the place even if its on the roadside. So, we had ordered bolognaise carbonara, dragon pork and Korean rice in beef gravy. Everything was on the tastier side and filling. The dragon pork needs refinement in both meat and taste. The bolognese was a little on the tangy side. On the whole a visit to cafe green grass should only make you happy.
We tried their BBQ chicken burger and the paneer burger. The buns were ice cold, so were the lettuce, tomato and onion rings. The BBQ chicken in the burger tasted good but that too was cold...and we had to wait 40 mins for our orders to come.! The place is simple, good looking. I expect them to take care of their customers better than they did to us. A bit disappointed.
