Carrabba's Italian Grill Chesapeake

I really enjoy Carrabba's, but not all locations are equal. Our server, Tyree, was outstanding—thank you! I took my grandkids there for some quality time together. The restaurant is small and has a nice, light modern atmosphere. The restrooms were clean, which is important to me. The food was delicious; we started eating before I could take a picture! My grandson had shrimp linguini and loved how cheesy it was, while my granddaughter had lasagna and truffle fries, which made her happy. I had the Pollo Rosa Maria—it was decent, but I felt the portion of penne pasta was small. Regardless, we ended up taking some leftovers home. We also got dessert—strawberry cheesecake to go, and oh my goodness, it was massive! Thanks, everyone!

However, when we opened the food at home, I was immediately let down. The breaded cheese sticks were cold and rubbery, but I tried to attribute that to the drive. On the bright side, the salad was fresh and crisp. Unfortunately, my hopes were dashed when I uncovered what was labeled as chicken Alfredo. Instead of a creamy sauce, it resembled buttered noodles with just a hint of Alfredo flavor. The chicken was decent, but a bit too salty for my liking, which is subjective. I was relieved that the meal was on a gift card and not my own hard-earned money, as it turned out to be one of the most disappointing meals I’ve had in a while. It also left my husband with an upset stomach. You can’t mask the absence of key ingredients with extra salt—they clearly made an effort, but it was obvious. Save your money and consider other options for Italian food. The picture of what was supposed to be a creamy chicken Alfredo really tells the story.

I had a fantastic experience! Britney was an excellent server, and the food was absolutely delicious.

Despite being packed, service tonight was prompt efficient, but most of all, cordial and welcoming. The quality of preparation was very good, as was presentation.

Showed up between lunch and dinner time and there was absolutely no wait time which was wonderful. Seated quickly we had our drinks in front of us in a matter of a few minutes and peruse through the menu because a lot had changed since the last time I was there which was at least 10 years ago. Meet our choices and the food was delivered quickly piping hot and looking phenomenal. The taste and smells for incredible... Reminded me very much of being at Sunday dinner at mygreat-grandmother's house years and years ago. Great authenticity in the flavor and the presentation and the service was impeccable. Will be going back again very soon.
