Great food and excellent service! They get busy in the evenings Thursday-Saturday. May have a little wait, but it's worth it.
The food is hit or miss but the service is awful. My family and I went to have supper here, we weren’t greeted when coming through the door and it took a few minutes to acknowledge the fact we was there and seat us, once seated, 1 small basket of chips, 1 small red sauce and 1 small white sauce was brought out for 5 people, as I was asking the server if I could get a couple more red sauces and white sauces, he completely cut me off before I finished saying “can I plea” said “I got you” and walked away, he had no idea what I was even going to ask for. Even the female waitress that was standing there seemed shocked. At this point I told my family we should go elsewhere because if they’re already handling things like that then maybe they’re overwhelmed and we didn’t want anymore issues. The male waiter then said something towards us but I was unable to make out what he said as it was so low and I just wanted to get myself and children out of there.
Gran Rodeo Mexican Bar Grill in Chesapeake is absolutely fantastic! ? They serve the most delicious meals with a large variety to choose from. Whether you’re craving tacos, enchiladas, or something else, you’re sure to find something you love. ?? Service is super quick, and the staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly. You feel right at home the moment you walk in. ? There’s plenty of parking available, so you never have to worry about finding a spot. ? One thing I really appreciate is that it’s not too cold inside during the summer, unlike many other places. It’s just the perfect temperature to enjoy your meal comfortably. ? I highly recommend Gran Rodeo Mexican Bar Grill! It’s a must-visit if you’re in Chesapeake. ??️ Thank you! Val Milan Realtor Parking: Place has ton of free parking, very accommodating and convenient. It located on the little plaza corner so every one will have a place to park. Kid-friendliness: Many kids were in the restaurants with parents Wheelchair accessibility: Steeples access and wide corridors
San Diego transplant here.Going to Mexico was a regular occurrence growing up.Be it to eat, shop, get dental work done, go fishing etc.One of my favorite past times was stopping at the carniceria with my grandfather on our way home from the dentist. One bite of Gran Rodeo Mexican Bar and Grill’s carnitas and I traveled back in time to that busy little shop on the bustling streets of TJ.The taste, texture, and smell of the pork was everything I have been missing.A family restaurant with a great atmosphere, fantastic food, and incredibly friendly staff. My family and I look forward to returning again!
