This charming soup restaurant is run by volunteers and is the perfect spot to rest after a walk. It also features a delightful handmade gift shop.

I have visited this restaurant three times. The first time, I was served a cold baked potato. The second visit was enjoyable, with pleasant food and staff. However, my third and final visit today was disappointing. While waiting outside with my dog, my mother went inside to order. She came out visibly upset because the two women serving her were rude (she is an elderly and polite lady). She asked me not to go in and confront them, so we left. When I called the manager to address the issue, I was told that the staff were volunteers and may be overwhelmed during busy times. No apology was given. The manager also mentioned that positive reviews on Tripadvisor were due to their friendly staff, which I found to be untrue. Despite not originally planning to leave a review, I felt compelled to after this experience.

This cafe and shop in a charming village is a must-visit for anyone in the area. After your first visit, you'll definitely want to return again!

Fresh, tasty food with a friendly face serving you too. Recommend the panini’s .. lots of cakes to choose from. A lovely outside space to sit and enjoy the view, dog friendly in the cabin and outside.

Always friendly staff clean . First time I have visited this year prices have gone up since last year , but that's the same scenario everywhere. Lovely settings like that they have extended the seating area with the picnic benches on the grass . Great little place for tea slice of cake .
