Holdi Takeaway

I recently tried ordering takeout from this restaurant and was disappointed. It seems like there may have been a change in chefs as the quality of the meals has become inconsistent. The Holdi takeaway used to be the best in Ellesmere Port, but now it seems to have dropped in ratings for good reason. The prawn dish was lacking in flavor and the Chicken Tikka Masala was too watery. It might be time to explore other dining options.

Disgusting takeaway , burnt poppadoms, burnt chicken tandoori even the bones were black. Naan bread burnt, everything else tasted like it was a warm up, never again,have had meals in the past that were good but recently disappointment after disappointment.Had to throw it all away.

Have ordered from here many times previously and never had a problem, however the last two times the food hasn’t been amazing. Stupidly decided to give it another chance last week and ordered a take away, only to end up with terrible food poisoning. After trying to reach out to the restaurant and having no reply, it has lead me to write this review. It’s a shame that they don’t care if the food has made a customer so unwell. Looking back I can only imagine that it was from poorly reheated food, as it had arrived lukewarm at best, and the rice was mainly stuck together. Would hate for anyone to be as unwell as I was.

This is our second time ordering food for delivery from this restaurant. The first time, the food was hot and very good. Unfortunately, last night, the meal was cold and not just one part of it - the whole meal was cold. We had to use the microwave to warm it up. It was disappointing and honestly, it ruined our evening. I don't understand why the entire meal was cold, especially since it cost us over £40. We probably won't be ordering from there again, which is a shame.

The food at this restaurant is fantastic and very popular. However, it is recommended to pick your time wisely as it was very busy last night. Despite pre-ordering, we still had to wait for half an hour.
