New China House - Chesterfield

Me and my partner have had food from here on several occasions. And we've never faulted it. It's a fare price. And we've always enjoyed the food. What more do people want from a Chinese takeaway.

I have used new China for many years and eating was always excellent, generous portions, always fresh and hot and the staff is great. surprising in some non-so-good reviews, as I have never had a meal I could owe, and I have tried a lot of Chinese to rip out!

Anyone leaving a bad review is simply uncultured. I used to work in a traditional Chinese restaurant/takeaway down south and I've missed the taste of good, well seasoned Chinese food and this is the only place up here I've found that doesn't taste like bland, British slop. I adore the energy of the people there (the receptionist is very friendly and always has a smile on her face) the range of food is actually extensive and even I got to try a few things that I hadn't before which is pretty rare. It's by far the best Chinese not just in Chesterfield but from what I can tell so far most of the northern part of England.

Incredible value! This is the best Chinese restaurant in the area. I highly recommend the spring rolls, chow mein, curry dishes, fried rice, and sweet and sour king prawns. The staff is super friendly and very accommodating when it comes to dietary preferences. Everything is priced very reasonably—this place truly deserves all the praise! Fantastic experience!

I don’t understand the negative reviews about this place. It was, without a doubt, the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. I tried the special fried rice, which had a bit of everything, and it was absolutely fantastic—made with fresh ingredients and large chunks of meat, including king prawns, which I usually don’t find at other Chinese restaurants. For the first time, I couldn’t finish my entire meal. It was incredible and has become my new favorite Chinese restaurant. The woman I was with also agreed, saying it was the best chow mein she had ever tasted. The lady at the counter was friendly and helpful as well. I give it a full 5 stars across the board!
