La Palma - Chetumal

My wife and I have been coming to Chetumal for over thirty years and even if we haven't stayed in Los Cocos all the time (which is a great hotel... check out our other review), we always found time to eat at the on-site restaurant La Palma. Breakfast is excellent, inexpensive and the service is excellent. You even have live music! Lunch is good.with good vegetarian options. You will not be disappointed!

We stay with Los Cocos almost every time we come to Chetumal, and this is the restaurant in the hotel, although it is facing Hero’s Ave. It's very good. Clean, quiet, great service and wonderful food. This may sound fast, but my favorite dish here is the Cream De Zanahoria (Carrot Soup). It is warm and very good! It was right.

We walked along the streets and were looking for a place where we could have a little dinner and saw that restaurant. It was the best decision we could have made. The staff there is so friendly. After the waiter realized that we weren’t Spanish, he went inside and sent a colleague who spoke English and that guy was so great. We ordered drinks and food and he explained it. We got some bread while they prepared ours meals and had shakes. The shakes were so delicious!!! We don’t know exactly but we think that fresh fruit was used. Our meal was as delicious and we enjoyed it. We recommend sitting there and having some drinks and food you won’t regret it. Finally we ordered some more shakes with another flavor and say: thanks for that experience ! All the best for you !!!

The food was freshly cooked, very palatable, tasty and enough. We had salbutes, the burger and fries were delicious and enough for 2 people.

The food was really great. And the service was awsome. Cant complain will definitely go there to eat again.
