Austrian Bakery Delicatessen - Chicago

I really love this place! The food is delicious, and the croissant sandwiches are both amazing and generously sized. They offer fresh-squeezed orange juice, which my children absolutely adore. The location is fantastic as well, conveniently situated within walking distance of everything.

Great breakfast! I ordered the pretzel croissant sandwich and it was super tasty. The bread is all made in house. I tried my friends poppyseed toast and it was great, too! The coffee is very good, it is Illy and drip. I ordered a few handmade cookies for my family and everyone enjoyed them. The service was friendly. I'd definitely recommend. This will become a go to breakfast spot for me.

The omelette served on a croissant was delicious, and the raspberry danish was just as delightful. There are a few other desserts in the display case that I'd be interested in trying. They also have Sacher cake, which isn’t commonly found everywhere. The service was friendly, and they offer fresh-squeezed orange juice as well.

This cozy little café has an excellent menu. We tried the wiener schnitzel, and it was juicy on the inside with a crispy crust. The Austrian goulash was decent but nothing out of the ordinary. The kids' mac and cheese was more gourmet and seemed to appeal more to adults than to children. The selection of baked goods is impressive and tempting; we opted for the sacher torte, but I found it a bit dry.
