Feedback gevenThis restaurant really impressed me with its cocktails. There was such an incredible variety of flavors—I wanted to sample them all! I also appreciated their Miniskirt cocktail, which contributes to the ACLU to support Drag performers and LGBTQ rights—what a great initiative! As for the food, the crab Rangoon was just okay for me; it was a bit too fancy for my liking, as I'm usually a fan of a more generously filled Rangoon. However, my absolute favorite dish was the smashed cucumber. Don't overlook this amazing appetizer—it will leave your taste buds tingling in the best way!
I absolutely loved the cocktails and the matcha custard. The service was excellent, and I'm very pleased with it. We will definitely return for both lunch and dinner!
We had the back room for our daughter’s wedding celebration dinner. Everything was absolutely phenomenal!All of our guests raved about the food and we loved every dish that was part of the menu. We hosted brunch this morning and people were still talking about how delicious everything was. We had the Smashed Cucumbers, Dry-Fried Green Beans, Spring Rolls, Crab Rangoon, Dan Dan noodles, Sweet Sour Tofu, Vegetable Lo Mein, Potstickers, Dried Chili Chicken, Orange Chicken, Walnut Shrimp, and the Matcha Custard. We also had two cocktails- the Hang Glider the Miniskirt.The staff could not have been kinder or more attentive. It was absolute perfection.Thank you, Chef’s Special, for not only a truly memorable meal but for also making our daughter’s wedding celebration absolutely perfect!
I had an excellent dinner with friends! The cocktails were perfectly balanced, and I highly recommend trying the Earth Angel. For food, we enjoyed the crab rangoons, egg rolls, twice-cooked pork, crispy rice with duck, and hand-pulled noodles—everything was fantastic! The service was amazing too; the staff was friendly and efficient!
This isn’t a fun review to write, we’ve been fans of Chef’s Special for years, but after giving it two chances this week, I can’t help but vocalize my disappointment on how Chef’s Special’s food quality has declined. The orange chicken was overcooked, the Kung Pao Chicken would’ve been more aptly named Kung Pao Peppers, and the Crab Rangoon was barely filled. The ambiance is great and the service is fine, but in terms of both dine in and takeout, the food has let us down.
