Overall: Blarney Stone is a dive bar through and through, which is a welcome reprieve from the rest of Wrigley. The good: Dive-y in most of the best ways possible. Darts, pool table, low lighting, bar stools, golden tee, you get the deal. The place is always half-full or less, which is amazing considering how they manage to stay open, but also amazing cause that means it’s never crowded. The bar staff is always friendly and they play great music. Pretty simple drink menu, but not in a bad way. The not-so-good: The service is sometimes spotty, where you may have to wait for drinks for several minutes. And, even with it being a dive bar, the prices are not exactly low. And, the back room is usually much louder than the front, and not in a good way. Atmosphere: 8/10 Service: 8/10
Service is very polite and the atmosphere of the bar changes as the people come in prices are way better from some of the bars around here and if you get there early enough you are guaranteed. And good chair and a comfortable time
Dive bar just up the street from Wrigley Field. Beer selection is okay, but not great. Pool table, darts, etc. Bathroom is terrible. Prices are good.
I went during one of the cubs games and grabbed a pitcher for a good deal. I had family in from out of town and I understand they were busy but the bouncer made 2 of my party wait outside in line for 15 minutes because of their 1-in 1-out policy. What I didn't get is I counted people leaving and the bouncer still wasn't letting them in after I counted over 12 people leave and they were right at the door... We left shortly after and went elsewhere. I'd recommend getting friendly staff that can communicate there policies better.
