Devil Dawgs Wicker Park - Chicago

The restaurant is dirty and shabby looking, but it has a good selection. I got a Chicago-style hot dog. The toppings and bun were great! The actual hot dog was old and rubbery! I was expecting a lot better.Food: 3/5

The Chicago dog is a classic here and they load it up!! Cant go wrong with this go-to order. Tots are tots, im sure they came from frozen.Food: 5/5

Called Devil Dawgs for a reason. Be prepared to s your brains out thirty minutes after eating here. Think they need to double check that they're handling food in a sanitary way here. Pretty sure I got staph food poisoning. Otherwise, the dog itself and milkshake were and usually are pretty good.

While in Chicago I obviously had to try a Chicago style dog so we stopped at Devil Dawgs before heading out of town. I got the Chicago style dog and fries. The price point was average. The fries were good but nothing special. The hotdog was pretty good I got everything on it but sport peppers due to an allergy. Although the taste is a little different I did enjoy it. There wasn't anything bad about Devil Dawgs but there wasn't anything special. If I came back to Chicago I would probably try a Chicago style dog somewhere else to compare.

Went with the Chili Dog. Tasted great, and the dog had a great snap to it.Food: 5/5
