Dirty Tiff's Cafe - Chicago

I called before we ordered to ask how their greens and cabbage were prepared the response was prompt and polite. Well priced and ordering online for pickup was easy. I won?t complain about the cashier, because she was young and I?ve experienced worse inthe city. We ended up ordering the Curry Chicken Dinner w/ Cabbage, Mac and Yams. They ran out of Curry, so I opted for Jerkinstead. Portion size was surprising definitely had leftovers. Chicken was decent. Mac was ok burnt on top if that?s yourthing. Cabbage could use some more flavor. But the yams are giving canned and I hate that for them. Nothing sweet about thesweet potatoes and they were as orange as a pumpkin. And I think the rice and beans is too much especially with whatever sauceis on top. It throws the flavor of the jerk chicken off. Anyways, it wasn?t horrible so I?ll run it back and give their Curryand other sides a try.

Had the fried catfish with red beans and rice, greens, and mac cheese. Huge portion size I was barely able to finish, but I did because it was so delicious. This is the closest I've come to southern comfort food in my nearly 3 years in Chicago.

Ok so I normally don?t leave good reviews about restaurants I just become a returning customer. But baabbyy let me tell you about this gem I found when I was craving some jerk. I call about a week ago to place an order and Tiff the owner said they justran out of macaroni and cheese, I?m like ok I?ll try another time. The past reviews made me keep them in mind cause that Maclooked delicious. I was hungover that day and decided to order from another spot on 79th I never tried and that food washorrible I wound up getting a refund. Fast forward to yesterday, I called to make sure they was open and had the mac n cheeseshe said they weren?t open yet, but within 30-45 mins. I waited to take my lunch at work, placed my order for the jerk chickenmeal cause they didn?t have jerk fish ready on Uber eats and arrived to pick up. I asked when will the fish be ready she told me30 mins because she takes ppl health seriously and no cross contamination at her establishment. I said cool I understand andappreciate that I would try it another time. I went back to work to clock out for the day and decided to go back for that fishand I?m so glad I did. It was nice portions of which she has lunch specials, seasoned well, not over cooked and the Mac n cheesewas absolutely delicious. Could?ve used more gravy on the rice but I mixed them collards with the cabbage and omg hands down. Iwill be returning and ordering often for lunch. Thanks Tiff for my new Jerk spot, apologize for the long review but this was myA+ experience!!

Man this was some of the best food I?ve had in a while. It hit all of the spots and then some! I?ve never had a plate where everything was delicious. I actually was eating like dang this taste better than my family?s food and we can throw down! Theportion sizes were great, the food was hot and fresh and the flavor was perfect! My mom and I both had the jerk catfish weshared our sides so we could try a bit of everything. We had the Mac and cheese is was a 10. The yams were fire. The greens andgreen beans was literally perfect and some of the best I?ve had. And to top it off the staff was so nice, gracious and just gaveoff good vibes and energy! I believe she was the owner. I will definitely be back and encourage everything to give them a visitand support this amazing black owned restaurant! This is my new favorite spot

First time ordering. I always support Black owned businesses and saw this one on UberEats. The food is soooo good and it was very hot when it arrived! I wanted to try a new Black owned business for Juneteenth weekend and I'm glad I tried this!
