A manager came by when we wanted to apologize for the delay that there were several big parties. In fact, the restaurant was crowded when we arrived, but was more than half empty about 30 minutes after our arrival. And while a big party sat with us (12-14 people), they were there before we arrived. The number of guests during the Sunday brunch there did not seem to the search warrant the significant delay or the minimum attention we received from waiting personnel.
The food is tasty and the ambience was great for a relaxed lunch roof with the Chicago skyline! If you are on time, then skip this place because the restaurant is part of a sports club and the check-in process is not customer-friendly and they charge you to go to eat $35 membership fee and give it back. It is a bit of pain and they need to repair this process to drive more patronage. Nevertheless, the food was good and its distinct from the normal way for fast food.
The restaurant has a beautiful rooftop terrace with panoramic views of the city center. The wine selection and service were excellent. However, the food was disappointing. My white fish dish was overcooked and had a strange odor, so I sent it back. My partner's salmon was thin and overcooked in their broth. The truffles were also not up to par, being fat and not crispy. As a member of the club, I will not be returning to the Din. Many other members have also expressed that the food quality has declined. It is suggested that management address this unfortunate situation.
The salmon is exceptional, both in the duck and in the Harvest Bowl
We enjoy leaving our three children to watch movies on the rooftop while we visit Harvest with friends. The manager, Robin, is fantastic. The rooftop offers great views of the Chicago skyline. Not many people are aware of this hidden gem!
