Kanela Breakfast Club - Chicago

Can get very crowded on the weekends. Not much to say about this place. The food and service are both okay. Nothing too spectacular or stands out. A good place to grab a quick breakfast or brunch.

The staff are lovely, the atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant. The food is absolutely to die for. Try the Greek donuts and the chicken and waffels!

This was honestly one of the best breakfast’s I have ever had. I had the Lorraine scramble with herb potatoes and pancakes with mimosas. the Staff was very nice and our waitress from Venezuela was helpful, accommodating and very pretty as well. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. 5/5

Cool spot. came from out of town for a few days and stumbled upon it. went for brunch on monday and they were pretty busy. had about 20-30min wait. our service could’ve been a little better, but overall the food was worth the wait. i had the chicken and waffles which was pretty yummy and filling!

Had a pleasant time here with my good friend, we lucked out and had outdoor seating for brunch. Food was very tasty.. very sweet and sugary depending what you order). We split the MONKEY BREAD cinnamon, honey butter, caramel, toasted walnuts), I ordered the CALIFORNIA BENEDICT poached egg, avocado, sautéed spinach, tomato, sriracha hollandaise, english muffin..5/5 would recommend) with side of potatoes better than expected) and my friend ordered the RED VELET FRENCH TOAST cream cheese frosting, fresh strawberries, crème anglaise). I also ordered a **** Mary. Food was good, service good, only negative is a long wait ~45mins/1hr) but then again.. you are in Steerterville. All that said, I'd come back but I wouldn't go outt of my way to get Kanela.. there for 4/5 but overall great Breakfast joint.
