After being seated it took 15 minutes to receive a menu. Another 15 minutes to order (I am not kidding). When the food arrived, much later, the Onion soup had a slab of cheese on top that could not melt because the burnt soup was cold. I was also informed that the burger I ordered was given away to another customer. The waitress (who was in a bad mood) asked if I would accept another burger that was ready but had mushrooms on it. I said OK just because I wanted my time there to be over! The burger was cold, overcooked, dry, and smothered with dried out mushrooms. It had probably been sitting out for some time. Needless to say, the meal was horrible and couldn't be eaten. To boot, I had to pay for an overpriced and awful meal. I would have done much better at McDonalds!
Server had a bad attitude constantly tried to correct me about the drink I ordered 7Up she kept saying Sierra Mist, until I pointed to the word 7Up on the menu. Ordered a steak burrito with rice, it didn’t come with rice and it was very dry and bland let them know it was made incorrectly they only took $5 off. They used to be amazing sad to see them fall.
Food is nasty ,overpriced..no parking..customer.sevice is bad..not sure why there's a Chicago and rainbow flag in front of the restaurant. That deters regular customers as well. They should be inclusive of everyone, not just certain people. we left because server was also rude. we went to soul shack down the street. better customer service, better prices and food was better
Maybe should have tried what they are known for per their menu.....chili and chicken.Alot of offerings on the menu....you can't do all of those items justice, ijs.
It's an old school spot that's been around over 30 years; a Hyde Park icon. Went on a last minute date; getting a table was quick. I had the roasted chicken and potatoes. The chicken was definitely dry. I had a large strawberry margarita that was more sweet than alcoholic
