Piatto Pronto - Chicago

I was impressed with this sandwich shop in the Edgewater neighborhood of Chicago. I ordered an Italian Beef sandwich with cheese and hot peppers, and as a lover of Italian Beef, I was not disappointed.

Best deli in the city of Chicago and my favorite place to go for a meal. The owner will remember you and your order after the first visit. Everything is always fresh. The grocery has fantastic, unique options, for great prices. I think I eat here 2x/week, and definitely more in 2020 and 2021. Hands down, my favorite spot in the city.

Would give zero stars. Owner is unhinged and disrespectful to customers and his community. Do not patronize this business. Oh and the food is awful.

Rude and Racist owner (bald guy)Initially loved going here as they had some excellent sandwiches and straight up service nothing crazy. But as mentioned in other reviews, we have a problem with one of the owners. In a previous visit, my Spanish speaking relative and her sister was insulted by the owner being called the B word in Spanish and another customer was taken ahead of them.
