RPM Italian - Chicago

I hate to write this review because we eat here very often and get takeout. Tonight was not our night...Our server was fantastic, very knowledgeable and super pleasant. The bar was clearly super backed up as we received our starters WELL before receiving our drinks. The second round took equally as long. This is the first time that the food/portion sizes have been poor. We ordered a ribeye sliced for the table to share along with our pastas. Ordered at medium rare+ and it came MW to well done. Unfortunately, had to send back and then came well after we were finished with our pastas. Tonight, all of the noodles were very undercooked. We enjoy al dente but all three pastas were cooked under to that and therefore chewy and stuck in your teeth. Normally we order extra prawns to top pastas...normally they are outstanding (in fact taste like lobster) last night i am so sad they were overcooked, actually somewhat black charred and tough. Finally, we had to order extra bread the portion size seemed smaller than normal for the whipped ricotta with honey. Again, this makes me sad, the restaurant was busy last night but everything just seemed very out of synch.

Food was delicious and very unique Our server Jastin was very professional Definitely coming back for sure and will Highly recommend everyone, hopefully one day you will open your doors in LA , we need one there too and servers like Jastin

IT WAS AMAZING best Italian food I’ve ever had and I eat Italian frequently!!!

We had a blast from start to finish! Our Server was absolutely the best! Extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of the menu and was very fun and friendly. She was very attentive which is rare these days. She made several recommendations and did not disappoint! Our meal was excellent and even the 2 year old that was in our party had a nice meal and a lot of fun! Definitely had a great experience!

Outstanding service, food and ambience. Will definitely recommend the place for a romantic dinner, friends “high-end” outing or just for the experience
