Rustle Roux - Chicago

Although the food is good and the location is convenient, the manager's behavior towards both staff and customers of color is appalling. He speaks condescendingly, is disrespectful, and creates a demoralizing atmosphere. His unfriendly attitude towards customers of color has led me to decide not to support this establishment any longer. It's disheartening to witness such discrimination in 2023!

Although the convenience of this restaurant being in my office building is a plus, the service leaves much to be desired. This morning, I attempted to order breakfast, but the staff completely ignored me for several minutes while they had their backs turned. I understand they were busy with other orders, but a simple "We'll be with you shortly" would have been appreciated. They could clearly see I was waiting. Ultimately, I left without placing an order because I couldn't wait any longer. Additionally, during peak breakfast and lunch hours, there's often only one cashier available, leading to long wait times. While the food is generally good, the extended wait can be so frustrating that it makes the visit not worth it.

I was disappointed because there's one breakfast employee who always forgets to include meat in my burritos. It's a waste of money.

The food options are still pretty good, but unfortunately the place has not held up that well since the pandemic. A lot of dirty tables and benches in bad shape.

The customer service here is trash, except the lady by the breakfast stand.. if you don’t wanna work there don’t! it’s no reason to give customers a hard time.
