Sol De Mexico - Chicago

We love eating at Sol de Mexico maybe 3 times a year on special occasions, food is outstanding. Just the server was very busy, I wish she can come to check more often to our table to ask if we need something, I understand it was busy day, we needed to ask for the check to pay because she wasn’t around in a while. She also was the bar tender.... anyway I will go back again food is authentic!!!!!!

Well, I made a reservation for Monday Oct 14th, then received a confirmation and reminder for that reservation on Oct 14th, but arrived at the restaurant to find it was closed on Oct 14th for Columbus Day. I took me over an hour to drive from work to the restaurant and finding it closed was not amusing. OpenTable, YOU FAILED!!!

Outstanding food. We had lamb in black mole and chicken in walnut mole, also some tasty sopacitas. We'll most definitely be back!

Sol De Mexico is a gem. The food is incredible (hard recommend on the moles)

Great food, excellent service, unbelievable drinks. This is not your typical Mexican restaurant, more upscale than you would think. Beautiful dish presentation ,very clean and nice decor. Definitely coming back.
