Feedback gevenI had a terrible experience at this restaurant. My husband made reservations for four people in March for a special occasion, directly on the restaurant's website. When we arrived at our scheduled time, we were informed that there were no reservations under our name. Despite showing them our confirmation emails, the staff claimed that our reservation had been moved to the following week at 8 pm. We refused to accept this and after some discussion, they finally seated us in their new space downstairs. The appetizers and drinks were complimentary, but we didn't order much as we were waiting for our main meals. The service was lacking, with long waits between small portions on the tasting menus. The server only asked us once if we wanted drinks during the two-hour meal, and a dirty glass sat on the table for the entire time. When we complained to the manager, he offered only a cursory thanks for our feedback. We spent over $500 for the meal, and received no compensation for the poor service. We were extremely disappointed in the way we were treated, and I would not recommend this restaurant. The manager should have at least comped our drinks in light of the situation. Rick Bayless should be ashamed of the service provided at this establishment. Save your money and avoid dining here.
I recently had a birthday dinner at this restaurant and it was a fantastic experience.
I am never disappointed when I come to this restaurant! The menu is always changing and the food is absolutely delicious. So yummy!
Terrible experience! husband has reserved two special birthdays in the fairytale, he made them directly on the website of the restaurant. we arrived at our certain time and said we had no reservations! when we showed them our confirmation emails, the women told us at the reception that someone had moved them to the next week by 1 o'clock. how stupid did they think we were? they told us they had no table to pm (no surprise! fits to their line over the new time and we refused to budge. so they brought us down into their new room, where they composed our appetizers and drinks, but they shouldn't think much about waiting for what we thought would be great meals. the manager came to the clock to bring us to our table. eating on the tasting menus was good, the service left much to be desired and the time between the very small portions was too long. in the two hours we sat, the server once asked us if we wanted to drink. my man brought a drink up from the bottom and the glass sat on the table for two hours. Why should we remind a server in a star restaurant to remove a dirty glass? at the end that was after the first time, we complained to the manager and I can't believe how useless he was. all he said was thanks for their comments we spent on (only had a margarita and a beer at dinner) and that's what we got? a worthless comment? the manager who knows what happened to us should let our two tedious drinks compose at least. rick bayless should is a farewell. never again, save your money! for a star restaurant was the service and the way we were treated was completely unacceptable.
That was for a birthday dinner. what a great experience.
