Wixter is literally the only place I buy seafood. I’m from south Florida and love fresh fish but trust me when I tell you that the quality of these flash frozen fillets is superior to anything you’d expect from a frozen fillet. Their house brand fillets are delicious. The salmon is flavorful and isn’t fatty tasting (like at grocery stores . I love their mahi mahi and the yellowtail is out of this world. The staff is friendly and happy to answer any questions about their products or how to cook them. They also offer a separate freezer with sushi grade fish, house-branded jars of seasoning (dill seafood and Caribbean citrus are fabulous! , and other ingredients for cooking seafood. I’m so glad that this storefront is available for Chicagoans to find sustainably sourced, delicious seafood.
