Flannel Tavern - Chichester

We went to a restaurant for our first night in New Hampshire. It looked very charming and enchanting. We had a large party of about 11 people, and even though the restaurant was small, we were willing to split up in order to be seated quickly with our little children. However, the staff refused this request, insisting that we sit together and wait for someone else to leave. We waited for at least 30 to 45 minutes as another table remained occupied by a group who had already finished and paid. Despite reminding the staff that we were willing to split up, we eventually gave up and left when we noticed other parties being seated after us. We took our business elsewhere, spending $200 at another restaurant.

Came here today on a whim but I've read good reviews about this place. Upon first appearance, it is very cozy. The down home, farm-house decor is simple but lovely. It smells so good as soon as you walk in but isn't that overpowering diner smell. Our waiter was super friendly and attentive and the food didn't take long at all. The menu has a variety of delicious choices and their mixed drinks are clever and playful. My husband is not easy to please when it comes to dining out but today he was very impressed! He ordered the Steel Toe burger (of course) with the hand cut fries. It was cooked perfectly! I got the chicken tenders and fries. I was so surprised to see the amount of chicken on my plate! It was breaded and fried to perfection. Compliments to the chef!! I also visited the bathroom which was squeaky clean and refreshing. We had a fantastic experience all the way around! 10/10 would recommend!

This restaurant is perfect for newcomers in my opinion. The interior is cozy and well-decorated, the food was incredible, and the staff was very friendly. The beer selection on tap is great and they offer flights if you can't decide between different types. Their menu has something for everyone and the kitchen staff was on point on a Friday evening. Overall, this is now one of my favorite spots and I plan to visit often!

This restaurant is a family favorite of ours. During our visit, I ordered the beef burrito and it was fantastic! My partner had the ghost pepper tenders and said they were perfectly spicy, which is impressive considering he usually can never handle enough seasoning.
