They crashed here while they drove 70 miles around the south downs. coffee, sausage and cake. all were fab, as the reception and the chit chat from the young lady behind the theke. highly recommended.
This charming little café serves an excellent chai tea latte. The staff is incredibly warm and friendly. My grandmother was thrilled to visit during our last trip and loved exploring the surrounding area. I particularly enjoyed that there was a spot on the terrace where she could tie up her dog. Overall, it was a delightful experience!
I dropped by this afternoon (August 17th) for a coffee. Unfortunately, I only had cash with me, and like many other places, they preferred card payments. Thankfully, a very generous customer offered to cover my bill. As Mark Twain said, "No act of kindness goes unnoticed." Thank you, kind lady!
This is the perfect place to stop during a bike tour or a walk. The exterior and interior are both lovely, and the table service is attentive. They serve tea properly in a pot, and they provide a bike stand along with tools for any adjustments you might need. The restrooms are clean, and the cake is simply amazing. They also have a space to fold up your jackets. I always felt welcomed here and thoroughly enjoyed my visits.
