Sierra Nevada Big Room - Chico

The food, atmosphere, and service were all excellent, although the place was a bit noisy. We started with the pretzel, which came with a warm and delicious cheesy gravy. For our appetizer, we chose the sausages, which could easily have been a main course. For our main dishes, we ordered the fish and chips and a half chicken, both of which were well-prepared. However, the chicken had a bit more oil than necessary. We also enjoyed a very good IPA.

During our recent visit to Chico, we stopped by for dinner and were thoroughly impressed. The dining room is bright and airy, featuring stylish copper ductwork and a fantastic bar setup. The highlight, however, was the incredible food—some of the best we've ever had at a brewpub. My wife chose the salmon special, while I opted for what might be my favorite salad ever: the Elote Salad with grilled chicken. Every bite was absolutely delightful. Our waitress Rachel was friendly and efficient, adding to the overall positive experience. Great job, Sierra Nevada!

The food was enjoyable, and, as expected, the beer was excellent. However, the service left much to be desired. I understand it was a busy time, but that doesn’t excuse rude behavior.

What an incredible experience! We took the 90-minute tour with Rob, who was both informative and entertaining. His expertise in beer and the history of Sierra Nevada, along with their diverse selection of beers, really stood out. He concentrated on the brewing process while ensuring our safety as we explored the different stages. After the tour, we enjoyed some beer tastings and a lovely dinner at the restaurant. It exceeded all my expectations!

In my experience, breweries often feature excellent restaurants. This one is quite pleasant, with a diverse menu to choose from. While they don't have a full bar, they do offer a wide variety of beers.
