Sumburger Western Ave - Chillicothe

Who knows Chillicothe, Ohio knows Sumburger. This place, however, is not the original location that began in 1953. This original place, like so many other things in life, was better than the copy. That's not to say this place is bad. There is a somewhat different taste, but it is still very good and I would still stop it as a must in historical chillicothe. I always seem to end with the classic Sumburger Platter with frits and one side of fried mushrooms. The drinks are not serving themselves, so I recommend a large order. The ice cream is the great ice cream. The mushrooms are usually hot pierced so be careful when you dig in. I was surprised to see cell phone lock boxes so you can charge your phone at the charging station and enjoy your meal without worrying about it stolen. This seems like a great idea to keep kids focused on family time without phone distraction! Very nice!

Great chili dogs! Although Sumburger is known for his name Sumburger, try her chili dogs. Not too spicy, not too sweet, the chili sauce is right! The hot dog itself has a nice snap to it and tastes great on its own. In addition to the spectacular Chili dogs, we also ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger Platter. If you have not been in Sumburger lately, the wrinkle-ground pommes and creamy Coleslaw, the standard with dish dishes are still as delicious as you remember. The burger and the bacon on the Speck-Käseburger were cooked over the point of every skill, which is why I give 4 stars instead of 5, but it was still tasty enough for me to dedicate the entire sandwich. The dining room is open, and it is large enough to accommodate many diners while still safe social distancing. The staff is friendly and the toilets are clean and well maintained. We'll be back soon.

The food is great. The service was also a bit faster and the customer service was pleasant.

My partner and I are frequent regulars, I grew up with the original sumburger on bridge st, I so miss that place, the new one is retro modern. It's nice, clean, easy service, staff is friendly, the food is still . It's just not the same one I grew up with so it's very strange and different for me but I am getting use to the new place. My partner and I have a special both, It's our both we always sit at when we go there. I really love sumburger and consider this as the ultimate retro burger joint and a staple icon of chillicothe. I really encourage everyone to go and have a good dinner, they have a wide variety on the menu and the prices are reasonable for this day and age. I hope everyone enjoys.
