The Best Chinese Food in Chilliwack. I grew up in Chilliwack and the Woodman has the best food and service of all the Chinese Food places in Chilliwack. Not only is there food excellent but so is their service. I was given a wrong item and when I returned to get the correct item they told me to take both at no charge. My family loves this place and it doesn't take long when doing take out.
Quality Chinese food. Most Chinese food places in Chilliwack are mediocre at best.<br/ The Capital is great but Gingkgo and the Mandarin Buffet(the trough ugh!)are poor excuses for cuisine.<br/ <br/ I dropped into the restaurant and ordered takeout. It wasn't very busy except for a couple of other people people picking up orders. The staff was very friendly and gave me a cup of tea while I waited for my order. it was ready in about 10 minutes. The price was a bit lower than most.<br/ Each dish was distinct in flavour. The beef noodle was excellent. Fried rice was fried(many places just assemble the dish) and moist at the same time with broccoli, shredded carrot, and even some cauliflower.<br/ The sweet and sour pork was mostly meat and not over-breaded and greasy. It wasn't dyed red like most. You get a good amount of meat in this dish.<br/ My biggest surprise was the almond chicken. The was no peanuts on this dish, only almonds!!<br/ <br/ Definitely will be going back and try their dumplings next time!
I 'll Be Back!. I was first attracted by the name and signage, so I expected better than average and was not disappointed. Authentic dishes and interesting options. We ordered the Fried Rice Noodles with beef (photo). I love rice noodles and this was my fave dish. (I 'm not sure what 'Diner from British Columbia ' meant when he referred to them as a 'glutton-glob. ' He probably meant gluten but there is no gluten in rice noodles so that review makes no sense whatsoever) We also had Yang Chow Fried Rice which was my husband 's fave, along with the Sweet Sour Pork Tenderloin, which was cooked perfectly and finally, Minced Meat Eggplant. It was a little on the oily side but very tasty. I would order it again.
Authentic food and friendly service!I like their sweet and sour pork. Id absolutely go there again.
