The Rose And Crown - Chilton

This little pub is absolutely fantastic! I visited on a Sunday evening, and even though they had stopped serving food at lunchtime, the landlord kindly offered to bring us some leftovers from the carvery. It turned out to be the best gammon, chicken, and lamb I've ever had in a pub, along with excellent vegetables and potatoes. The draught beer was also very good, and the atmosphere was quiet and friendly, as it was later in the evening. I would definitely come back again at a more typical time. Thank you!

First time at our new local pub after moving to lovely Chilton. Good selection of beers, the typical country pub outfit and some great food even tho delivery took a bit longer. I visited this pub hoping to find a new local spot after moving to the area. Unfortunately, as others have pointed out, the landlord was rude and unprofessional, making several sarcastic comments to us before we decided to leave after just one pint.
