If you go there you should be in a rush because the lady cooks the food from the scratch. But in the end it will worth the wainting. Try the paratha with egg curry to breakfast and for the meals you have the coconut rice with chicken curry or veg curry. You will not regret.
Lovely little cafe with a humble lady cooking and serving the food. It does take a while only because she cooks it from scratch. The food was delightful however needed a little spice and salt to bring the flavours out more. Overall it's definitely worth a try if you're in the area. Prices are cheap too.
We went here the first night we arrived in Kumily and visited the second evening as well. The meals are all cooked fresh in an open kitchen and Lissy puts lots of love in them. We highly recommend the Dahl fry, but anything on the menu is delicious and all for small prices.
Coconut cafe is run by a very nice lady, she makes every dish from scratch. You might have to wait a min but it’s definitely worth it ; ! We only had Indian dishes, which were that good (and cheap! we returned a second time!
Food: 5/5 You order and the owner prepares it in the open kitchen. You might have to wait but it is definitely worth it. We had a tomato salad. The lady returned after a short while with a full bag of them. They were so fresh and tasty! I'd also highly recommend the spaghetti if you want to alternate from otherwise Indian traditional dishes. The portions were plentiful and very well prepared. Service: 5/5 Very friendly one person cook/server. Ambiance: 3/5 Very simple but clean. Western background music. Coconut Cafe is somewhat off the beaten path but worth the walk/drive. Value: 5/5 Reasonably priced
