The Caves Cafe - Chislehurst

We were today. makes an amazing impression, they can feel that all the energy collected there, the place has many interesting and frightening layers at the same time. in any case worth a visit. in the caffe you can have a delicious burger with fritten eating or a good coffee.

Interesting local tourist attractions, I knew nothing about the 'Caves ' beforehand and you wouldnt suspect they were there driving in the local area. The guide was very entertaining and my husband and I enjoyed it. My young son and some of the young ones on the tour were a little scared at points but able to complete the tour and my son enjoyed it in the end. Small cafe with reasonable prices attached (above ground) and small museum. I thought the museum part would benefit from a bit more information and structure.

I took my wife here last Sunday for the first time. The cave itself is very impressive, I won't say too much on the caves as they need to be experienced first hand. Our tour guide was a Great guy called Peter. He was very professional, and explained the history of the caves with humour and amazing knowledge. Peter was also available after the tour for any questions or just a general chat. If you've not been to the caves before, and fancy something different I totally recommend it. It's great value as well.

This place has strong roots in my own family history and of the nation during the second World War. It was the biggest air-raid shelter in the country! In addition it has made many other roles throughout the life of the caves- all man made. Lots of the war relics are still there and the guide did a reasonable job of explaining them. Good atmosphere with the hand held lanterns. Small cafe with good service.

Absolutely worth a visit. The tour was approximately 50 minutes long. Our tour guide was very engaging with interesting stories about the caves. Can feel a bit chilly in caves so wear a warm layer. Floor a bit uneven so wear sensible shoes.
