I personally had a steak sandwich (very delicate and tasty) and my son had a kind of cheeseburger in sauce like a wet burrito (soothing and tasty), but the rest of our party had more traditional farewell; we were all satisfied.
I do not agree with the other critics. We come to work here all the time and bring visitors from all over the world and they all seem to love it. If you are looking for a 5-star restaurant, you can dissapointed, but they always put us fast, serve the food quickly, refill drinks several times and the food is very good for the price. Great place and one of our favorites in Chowcilla!
Food was absolutely fantastic! Prices are reasonable. All employees were very attentive and helped all tables, not only those in their area. Only criticism I have is the strawberry limonade fresh, but tastes very watered.
Great selection and delicious food, try the Birria plate, you will not be disappointed! Beans and rice were tasteful and perfectly cooked, pears were on point!!! My girl loves her strawberries bananas French toast, burgers are good and BIG; turkey bacon avocado melt was huge and so, so delicious... Give them a try, many new menu items!
This family owned restaurant in California's Central Valley in a farming community in Chowcilla offers authentic Mexican fare prepared by the uncle, the waitresses are a mother and daughter team, and also includes a son and father who helps out as well. The ambiance is fair and decorated with Mexican curtains separating each booth and lots of odds and ends and various other items. sprinkled throughout. The food is pretty good, but not great! I will say that their fried cauliflower cooked in this wonderful tasting macha sauce was to die for. It was nice and spicy and the cauliflower was cooked just right. It's a must try. Yummy!!! However, bad news regarding my hubby's dish of chili verde, while tasty, he crunched down on egg shells. Not good. I think chef uncle must of had a hard night the night before and lost his concentration. I ordered the waffle without the strawberry sauce and when I got my order, what do you think was the first thing I saw? You guessed it, plenty of strawberry sauce. I decided not to send the order back and just scraped off all the strawberry sauce. I also liked the fact that this restaurant had a very good habanero hot sauce which I have never seen at any other restaurant. Would I return to this restaurant in the future? Yes! I think so. It is truly a family owned business that is worth supporting.
