Engineers - Christchurch

I've traveled to over 25 countries, but I've never experienced worse customer service than this. The bouncers really need to be replaced. Overall, I do not recommend this place.

I ordered the spicy chicken and a side salad for a light dinner, paired with a beer. While the front-of-house staff provided good service, the food left much to be desired. The portion of chicken was very small and tough, and the deep-fried coating didn’t help. The salad was bland and lacked any dressing, and the presentation was disappointing. The highlight of the evening was the live music from a solo performer, which was enjoyable.

I've visited this place a couple of times since it seems to be one of the only spots in Christchurch to relax on weekends. The atmosphere is fantastic, the staff are friendly, and the food is quite good. It's a nice place to hang out if you're in Christchurch. @engineers

Great beer selection, delicious beef croquettes, and a fantastic pulled pork burger.

I had the Pulled pork cheeseburger smoked chipotle slaw aioli hand cut chips. There was the perfect amount of lunch time chilli hit for me, the pulled pork was tasty and super tender, and the chips were lovely. One of my friends had the Beef brioche burger iceberg lettuce melting cheese which she said was super tasty but the brioche was obviously crumbly (and messy). Our server was lovely and asked whether we had been there previously and then explained about the sizes of the different meals always appreciated. They were super efficient when one of my friends had to leave suddenly due to sick child.
