Papa John's Pizza - Christchurch

I visited Papa John's at Butlins in 2014 and had a negative experience, so I never went back. In 2022, I tried Papa John's again at my friend's house on Barrack Road. We ordered online about 5 minutes before closing time and it was the best pizza I've ever had. I have to deduct a star though, as I had tried calling the restaurant a few times before and received no answer, likely due to it being close to closing time.

I really enjoyed Papa John's during my city vacation. The food was very hot and fresh, and I was very impressed!

I am very picky when it comes to food, but I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at this restaurant. I now believe that it is the best pizza place around. Even my children enjoyed their meals, which arrived warm and delicious right on time. From the manager to the delivery driver, everyone did a great job. I will definitely be back and would like to extend my thanks.

Worst Pappa John Pizza ive ever had. Dry hard chewy no topping or cheese and they forgot my drink for pizzas that were worse than a bad dominos for half the price! Ruined our evening

Ordered an extra large pizza online at so we could enjoy a halloween movie with a slice of pizza. Requested the pizza to be delivered ASAP. We had to call up a few times to chase up at what stage our pizza delivery was...at as we were not able to track this online (the idea was there but it wasn't working). Employee who answered phone said that they had sent the driver out with multiple orders and could not give a time scale but that the pizza was with the drive at the time we called. At approx. we called a third time as we still hadn't received our order. The employee stated that there could be a hour delay during busy times but we highlighted that this was not stated on the website because if it had been we would not have used the online platform to make our order. At this stage, we were considering cancelling our online order and reordering on the phone to collect. The employee appeared startled by this and did not know how to respond. Understandably, hours is a very long time to wait for a pizza to be delivered even if they are busy!! Fortunately for Papa Johns Christchurch, the driver had arrived whilst we were on the phone. To top things off, we realised that the extra side we ordered was missing! The pizza was really tasty although a bit too cold for our liking (it had arrived warm Overall, this was our first experience ordering from Papa John's and we doubt we will use their service again unless we are going there to collect ourselves. This clearly shows that they were overrun and need more man power to run a smooth service.
