Recently, I decided to step outside my comfort zone and try the mabo tofu, and I’m so glad I did! It was phenomenal—spicy, savory, and bursting with flavor. I’ve decided it will definitely be a regular order for me from now on. And if that weren't enough, my wife absolutely adores the eggplant dish here. It’s cooked to perfection and always leaves her satisfied.
- 1 Star: A big mistake; I won't come back. - 2 Stars: Decent, but I won't return; I don't recommend it. - 3 Stars: If we're craving this type of food and are in the area, we might consider eating here again. - 4 Stars: I'll definitely come back and recommend it; I would drive 15-20 minutes for this. - 5 Stars: I would drive over 30 minutes to eat here; I would highly recommend it to friends and plan to visit at least once a month. Now, about this Chinese restaurant: I won’t be returning. Everything was edible, but the food seriously lacked flavor. The orange chicken was bland—honestly, Costco’s orange chicken is way better. That deserves only 2 stars. The fried rice was probably the best dish we ordered, but it too fell short on flavor, so I would give it maybe 3 stars. Compared to the Chinese restaurant near the college, this place just didn’t measure up. The sweet and sour chicken looked promising but was also bland. I’m not sure if they ran out of seasoning or what, but both the Sweet Sour Chicken and the Fried Rice at Sushi House off Telegraph are much better. I’d give the sweet and sour chicken 2 stars. As for the chicken and broccoli, it's usually hard to mess that up, yet this dish was still bland. I’d rate it about 2.5 stars. Overall, I won’t be coming back, and I don’t recommend it. The search for a new Chinese spot continues.
My family and I absolutely love this restaurant! The service is consistently excellent—every time my husband goes in to pick up our order, the owner at the register always recognizes him. Their salt and pepper chicken wings are amazing! My two little boys are also big fans of the cream cheese wontons. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. We've dined in and ordered takeout multiple times over the past couple of years, and we've never been disappointed. They even catered my one-year-old's birthday party, and everyone loved it. We tend to switch up our orders because they have such a diverse menu with plenty to choose from. I especially love the salt and pepper shrimp, which is my favorite dish; they serve it de-shelled and unlike some places, they don’t skimp on the shrimp by filling the party tray with lettuce to make it seem fuller. We’re loyal customers and will continue to be as long as they’re open!
My favorite spot for salt and pepper chicken. Wish I could take pictures of the chicken but I always devour them before I think of it. Dine in or pick up no delivery.
