Feedback gevenWARMING to all the tourists who consider to stay here. I booked the hotel and prepaid fully for my upcoming August trip in Tokyo. As I mentioned I paid fully with choosing no cancellation policy already two months ago now in early June. I believe many of you know that quite a few Japanese locations requires early reservations plus they only accept local Japanese phone numbers, and some of them even request to have hotel name and phone calls from the Hotel Concierge to make the reservation. So I emailed to the hotel asking their help to make 3 reservations in advance, because August is usually busy with overwhelming visits in summer there. The hotel simply replies me because they are a SMALL hotel so they cannot make reservations prior to my actual arrival and rejected offering the service. Then, it confuses me very much that how come you could receive full payment in two months ago, but you cannot make a few phone calls to help your confirm client for two months ago? I already feel the hotel really turns me off to stay there.
This hotel is amazing! Best decision ever for a time where hotels are getting book fast with Japan opening up again! When we arrived we were greeted immediately and the staff spoke English. We try our best to speak Japanese but it's a plus when the staff knows a little bit of English. Depending on how many is in your group, we highly recommend using an Uber if you're arriving from Haneda airport. It's about 30/35 minutes (or less) and the driver(s) knows exactly where they are going. We arrived a little early, but when we came back to check-in the process was painless and the staff had already put our bags into our room. Man, they're already one step ahead of us! And yes, there are elevators! Our room was nice and able to accommodate two people. What was the best thing about the room was the view! Waking up to the view was worth every penny! We're close to 7-eleven, Lawsons, there's a few grocery stores, Denny's, coffee shops, and more importantly, the Hatchobori station right across the street! Again, I would highly recommend this hotel! You are only a train ride (or walk) from Tsukiji Fish Market the more bigger cities.
For a Tokyo hotel, the room was very large and spacious. There were tons of free toiletries and guides and tea in the lobby. Check in and out were easy. There's lots of taxis driving around in the area so it was very easy to flag one down. It cost me ¥800 to get to Tokyo station from the hotel. Biggest negative was that the room really needed a deep clean. Lots of build up and stains in the washroom, faucets, sink, floor tiles, on the couches, etc. The dark earthy theme of the room didn't really help with the vibe either. General daily housekeeping was good though.
Huge room compared to other 3-star hotel in Tokyo. Bathroom is acceptable. Service is ok. Only 1 minite from the train station.
I would definitely stay here again if I were to visit Tokyo, if the price were right. I managed to get good rates booking 4 months in advance, but it does get a fair bit steeper if you book closer to your dates. 1st impressions are good lobby looks classy, there are tons of good quality toiletries available there, and the staff are friendly and helpful, with at least one speaking decent English. Rooms are clean and decently upkept for a slightly older property. 2 pillows and a small bolster are also another plus. There are 2 convenience stores (Lawson and 7 Eleven) around the corner. But the biggest plus is that the rooms and toilets are bigger than similar hotels, which for Tokyo is really impressive and did make a difference to our stay as you don't feel as cramped coming back after a long day of exploring. I would happily pay a reasonable extra for the room size. Location wise, you are just a 2min walk from Hatchobori and Kayabacho Stations on the Tokyo Metro (Hibiya Line) and 6min to JR Hatchobori. Both lines get you to Tokyo Station in 10mins. Both lines also get you to popular areas like Shinjuku, Shibuya, Asakusa, Akihabara, Ginza etc within about 30min. Some small minuses: The place is generally a bit old. You could see the ageing a bit more with some small stains on the toilet tiles, but to us it wasn't a bother as there was no smell. The air conditioning wasn't particularly strong, but it was adequate. This might have been because we were staying while air conditioning inspection was going on; which the hotel did mention. The beds were adequately comfortable, but if you prefer softer beds you might find it a bit harder to get to sleep.
