J. Gumbo's - Cincinnati

The service at this restaurant was excellent and the food was delicious! I highly recommend it! The Jean Lafitte bowl and the drunken chicken were both fantastic choices!

The food was terrible and they didn't even allow us to sit and eat. Even though it was 12:30am, they closed at 1am. There were still other people dining when we left. However, when we got home, we realized the food was so bad that we wouldn't even give it to a dog.

When I visited this location, it was my first Cajun experience. Now I can’t live without Cajun food. Every single time I dine here, the experience is as vivid as the first time.I’m always impressed by how all the employees are knowledgeable of their products and proud of what they serve.Recently I found out that they can provide cornbread as an alternative to their toast. I’ve never tried it because they told its sweet, and sweet cornbread is not my taste, though I’m sure they make great one. But I wish they would make southern style non-caky cornbread, and that would make their gumbo even more perfect.

This was my first time going to J Gumbo. J Gumbo is a great place to go if you're out late and feeling hungry. The bourbon chicken and bumblebee were incredible... I even added a bit of sour cream to mine. The cashier was friendly, allowed me to try the bumblebee first, and provided great recommendations.

Really fantastic food. Try the Voodoo chicken!Great customer service. 10/10 highly recommend.
