Pho Viet Ohio - Cincinnati

I consider myself somewhat of a Pho connoisseur. After being disappointed by my regular Pho place on several recent visits, I decided to try out a local restaurant that was conveniently located right on the road from home. Let me just say, wow! Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted by bright colors and a large menu, along with the amazing aroma of Pho. After perusing the menu, my companions and I decided to share the báhn mì and the pho tài (thin steak). The báhn mì was perfectly roasted, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Although we were too eager to try it and forgot to take a photo, I was not disappointed. I only wished the cucumbers were sliced thinner. As for the pho, the broth appeared light and initially made me skeptical of its taste, but I was pleasantly surprised. Topped with thinly sliced beef, green onions, and sprouts, I added lime, pepper, jalapeños, and Thai basil to enhance the flavor. After letting the basil sit in the broth for a few minutes, I tried it again and it was almost perfect. I was pleasantly surprised by the generous amount of meat and noodles in the bowl. As we left the restaurant, I noticed that the delicious aroma had permeated my clothes, a sign of a great meal in my opinion. Would I go back? Absolutely. Would I recommend this place? Without a doubt. Did it meet the standards of my favorite Pho restaurant? I joked with my companion that we should bring our own cilantro next time (I will remember to do so next time). To the owners of Pho Viet, thank you for coming to the west side. You have exceeded expectations and I will definitely be back soon!

So happy it is pho on the west side! the workers are so nice and helpful. her pho ga is amazing, and so is her Vietnamese coffee!

The takeout packaging was thoughtful and attractive. I thoroughly enjoyed my pho tai, and my partner loved his banh mi. We are happy to have a great Vietnamese restaurant on the west side!

This restaurant not only treats them customers, but like a family. very nice people who have ever helped them to get their orders are all very friendly. when they are asiate, they can feel the hospitality here they know we are the number one known as very friendly people. eating is great and reasonable prices. my friend had a great lunch here. I look forward to going back soon.

I went here for the first time and ordered two orders of pork vermicelli noodle bowls for takeout. It’s a $15 entrée. I was truly stunned when I got home and opened the containers. It was shocking to see such a tiny amount of food literally half of what you would typically get anywhere else. I have been eating vermicelli noodle bowls for 30 years and have had them at many different Vietnamese restaurants so I know what a typical portion looks like. Also, the pork was low quality; very fatty, nasty. I was so disappointed. I was truly hoping to frequent this restaurant since it is so close to my home. That was an incredible amount of money to spend on such a tiny, poor quality, food. Not sure I’m willing to give them a second chance. I was so stunned about the tiny portions of food that I, unfortunately, totally forgot to take pictures to post.
