The menu takes simple elements and works them to be increased. the deviled eggs can be divided by two. the Matzah ball soup is in a nice broth and is quite savory. the keilsalat is the most interesting version that I had, with goat cheese and revitalized mandeling and a beautiful spice for it. the gnocchi was beautiful and tasteful. the chicken carving combined a salty roast chicken breast with a delicate arugula and a half-sweet sauce. the cocktail menu was great to try the hemingway. was the chocolate pudding with sea salt. restaurant is really loud and business. make them reservations in a busy night, they do not expect a walk. overrun looks to go into the bar and a parachute in the courtyard.
Great eating and excellent service by william and the entire staff.
My husband and I went to SB for a date night. It was our first time. Wine selection was limited. We ordered the deviled eggs, which were very good! Could use more of the pork rinds (it was listed as an ingredient but there was literally 2 little pieces on the plate). My husband got the chicken schnitzel. It was okay but could've used a side, maybe a vegetable or rice or something, anything! I got the single cheeseburger. It was good, not great. The fries were tasty and came with mornay sauce. For dessert my husband ordered the almond cake I didn't care for it but he loved it. I got the lemon ricotta pancakes. For a dessert, it was a lot of pancake. They should just stay on the breakfast menu because they aren't really a great dessert item. They were just okay since they were more on the bland side. Our server was Erin. She was wonderful! Very friendly and attentive even though she had a lot of tables! It was quite loud in there, which wasn't great for a date night. But if you want a cool downtown place with friends, it's great! Parking around there was a nightmare but it WAS a Friday and it's not anything the restaurant has control over. While we are not likely to go back, we would still probably recommend that others try it.
Great food and friendly service. Our party of five people ordered several dishes and shared them. We were pleased with the food and pleasantly surprised by the very reasonable bill. For several dishes and coffees the price per person was around $25 before tip. We loved everything and were so satisfied.
