The Black Horse - Cirencester

I visit almost every day! The staff is fantastic and makes everyone feel welcome. The food and drinks are very affordable yet of a high standard. I would recommend this place to everyone!

We were on a bike tour through the UK and Ireland and stumbled upon this charming pub while in Cirencester. The bartender and manager, Angus, was incredibly friendly and polite, quickly serving us a few pints. He informed us about the Thursday grill special, so we decided to try the aged sirloin steak (cooked to perfection) and the fish and chips. Both dishes were fantastic. We felt so welcome and noticed that other guests were equally fond of the place, creating a warm atmosphere for travelers. I highly recommend stopping by this local gem!

I always visit this pub when l go to Cirencester mainly because of your staff. I always get a very warm welcome from the Landlady and all her staff. No matter how busy the pub is they always serve you as quickly as they can and they are courteous and friendly. They are also very knowledgeable about the area and give advice about what to do and where to stay. For a busy venue this pub is run in a professional and friendly style. I shall definitely be back and friends I’ve taken there say the same.
