Borgo Dei Sapori - Citta di castello

After family members had used [with most satisfactory results] the well-being part of the complex, we subsequently returned for lunch. A good meal although the youngest might have wished pizzas were available rather than the rather pesante carbonara bake. Others enjoyed a mixed grill and the beef. The service was good and the ambience very adequate considering we were in a remote area on the Umbrian/Tuscan divide.

We definitely recommend this hotel if you are planning to stay in Umbria. It has a pool, both outside and inside (with spa area , best italian food, stylish hotel rooms and very friendly staff who were always very helpful. But in our opinion the highlight was its location. The hotel is surrounded by typical Umbrian hills where we enjoyed the calmness :

The Borgo had everything we needed: well sited pool, beautiful views, a clean room, and fresh eggs for breakfast every morning. There is a bar by the pool and a pizzeria which is open at dinner time the food is very good. Throughout our stay the staff were friendly, attentive and accommodating. Borgo dei Sapori is a great launchpad for exploring Umbria (including Perugia) and southern Tuscany.
