Feedback gevenThis restaurant has a dated and unappealing atmosphere. The menu is average and the desserts seem appetizing, but overall there is nothing remarkable about this place. The most disappointing aspect was the waitress being unable to confirm if the eggs were free range or not, and her assumption that they were not was a clear support of animal cruelty, which deeply upset me. As a result, I will not be returning to this restaurant and cannot recommend it to others.
The restaurant had a retro design and a pleasant atmosphere. The food was delicious, especially the homemade lemon tart dessert. The singer provided enjoyable background music without overpowering the conversation. The server was friendly, but the main course portions could have been more generous. The biggest issue was the table configuration, as a large group at the neighboring table was uncomfortably close, making us leave earlier than planned.
This place is kind of dowdy & feels old. The menu is ok, the desserts look good, but there's nothing special about this place. However the worst thing is that the waitress couldn't even tell me if the eggs were free range or not, but she assumed not, & blatantly supporting animal cruelty disgusts me, so I will not return here & cannot recommend it.
Unfortunately, Relish is not in a good location on the Studfield shopping strip but it's a great cafe offering good value food choices, good coffee and very friendly service. It's a very cosy cafe with comfortable sofa and table settings. We drop in with our large bike riding group on Tuesday mornings and we get great service. Their special fruit toast is full of fruit, yet light. They also offer good snacks and some home made cakes.
A sort of retro fit out. Quite a pleasant atmosphere. The food was very nice. The homemade little lemon tart for dessert was nice and tangy. The singer was not too over powering, so could still have a conversation. Server was very pleasant.Mains could have been a little more generous. But my main criticism is the configuration of tables. A large group gathered at the table next to ours - one guy as practically sitting on my lap! Too close for comfort. This became quite unpleasant, so we left, earlier than we had intended.
