I usually go there for lunch and opt for a salad or a sandwich. The variety of ingredients they offer for their salads is excellent, from beetroot to eggs to all kinds of greens, lentils, chickpeas, etc. They also offer a variety of dressings for their toppings. The best part, however, is the price! Wendell's is really affordable and a pleasure to eat at, so I highly recommend visiting their lovely staff.
This restaurant used to be good, so it's disappointing to write this review. The staff here are inexperienced and seem uninterested in learning their job. The more experienced employees don't help the new ones, seemingly content with their failures. Today, I ordered a breakfast box and some books. The food was cold and had clearly been prepared ahead of time. When I mentioned this to the server, they didn't seem to understand that the food should be hot. They ended up microwaving the entire breakfast, leaving me with rubbery eggs and lackluster bacon. The passion that once drove this place has faded, and so has the quality of the food.
This charming café/lunch spot is tucked away from the mainstream chains, offering a more unique and affordable experience. I enjoyed a plate of delicious hot pasta, a slice of walnut cake, and a bottle of San Pellegrino for only £7.00 – an absolute steal! The cozy interior features four small tables, making it a lovely spot to sit and enjoy your meal. The sandwiches are pre-made but still delicious, with attentive staff who are quick to check if everything is to your liking. Overall, a fantastic dining experience.
