While the traffic was high, the staff did an excellent job keeping the lines moving and delivering the meals without a long wait. Ordering kiosks were convenient and worked properly. As for the food typical McDonald's menu and typical McDonald's quality. I liked the fact that those who ordered to dine on premises could get their meal on a tray rather than in a paper bag. There is a lot of common seating in the general vicinity which is shared between a variety of takeaway eateries, and while it was crowded, it wasn't overly difficult to get a table. Overall a decent fast food dining experience, particularly considering the volume of customers and the location.
This McDonald's is conveniently located for when travelling from either the train or coach stations but it gives very poor customer service especially considering many customers will be eating mid journey. The option to have an order delivered to a table has been disabled on recent visits even though many customers are struggling with baggage and cannot easily carry a tray at the same time. Napkins are very hard to obtain with staff not understanding when you ask for them. On my last visit the order was completely wrong with a Breakfast Roll latte ordered but instead a bacon roll standard coffee came. The use of bags and few staff being around the seating area made it hard to complain when encumbered with a large suitcase. Choice was limited that day due to a rail strike and many alternatives were closed but this is one to avoid if possible.
This McDonald’s don’t provide free drinking water. What criminals shift manager Erin Bad service and slow with orders
Avoid this restaurant at all costs! My wife and I, both autistic, stopped here for lunch after a weekend away. We unwittingly tried to use a fake note to pay, and when the staff realized it was fake, they asked us to wait while they called the police. This was understandable, but what followed was completely unnecessary. Security rudely interrogated us, even shouting at my wife who is also autistic. When we asked for sauce, it was thrown at us in a disrespectful manner. Eventually, our support worker spoke to the manager who admitted they had received multiple fake notes recently and assured us we were not being investigated. However, they still kept us there for over an hour, causing us both a great deal of anxiety and stress. We will never return to this McDonald's due to their disgusting treatment of customers with disabilities, and we urge others in similar situations to avoid it as well.
I concur with another review that this is the worst McDonald's I have ever been to. The restaurant is dirty, the service is poor, the clientele is not great, the toilets are disgusting, and overall, it is very unclean.
