The buffet menu may be a better option than the Ala-carte menu, especially on certain days (Thursday to Sunday) when the restaurant serves buffet dinners.
As we entered the restaurant, we noticed comfortable seating arrangements, and large spread of vegetarian and meat based items. Made to order Dosa and self-help counter of paani poori was pleasant surprise. Choice of starters and main dishes is wonderfully large. Desert counter has good...choices too. The atmosphere is very relaxed. Nan and drinks that you order are served at the table. Overall service is good. This was our second visit, and the experience was consistent.
Tried the buffet for dinner based on a friend's recommendation. Very elaborate set-up with about 18 dishes (veg and non-veg). There is also a pani puri station as well as a dosa station and a small dessert table. Price is $17-18 per adult. Liked how...the food was set up in large metal pots and the use of street carts like tables. Of course, with all this variety you have to try a few dishes. Thats where one stuffs his face with all the food. Food itself was tasty for most part. Liked the goat curry, chilli chicken and some of the vegetarian dishes. Did not care about the butter chicken as this was too sweet for my liking. Fresh warm naans were served on the table. We had a good experience overall.
Our family used to eat here regularly when we lived in the neighborhood. We decided to stop in as we were visiting near by. They love Indian food but I'm not a huge fan. The rest of the family raves about the buffet line up....Even though I underappreciate Indian cuisine there are many dishes anyone would like. Servers are quick to bring water, take drink orders and bus the table. Buffet line is orderly and clean. The food is kept at appropriate temps so you're not eating a lukewarm dish when you get it back to your seat. Prices are about $15, not including drinks, so it's not going to break the back.
This restaurant used to be fantastic years ago, but unfortunately it has gone downhill like many others. There seems to be a lack of quality and care now. Even though it's under the same ownership, they have lost all their talented chefs to a competitor down the street.
