The Silver Sturgeon

We boarded at the Festival Pier for a business corporate do and from the moment we stepped on it was impressive all the way. The staff were very polite and courteous and couldn't do enough. The Silver Sturgeon was very clean and absolutely spotless! The food we had was just amazing and the whole experience was just awesome. We sailed up the Thames so far and then back down as far as Greenwich and saw most of Londons landmarks etc. Honestly it was the best day ever! Would thoroughly recommend it!

This was a company do, cost per head was quite high. It was a great night out and my employer pulled all the stops out to make sure we had a good night out, which we did.Food was really good but staff were a little rude, for example I don't eat fish, I discreetly told the table staff, but the fish was put in front of me and staff walked away, I know of several examples of this happening. Staff were also clearing drinks from the tables when they were half full/empty(depending on your outlook) The boat is a great venue, very smooth and overall impressed, we had a DJ supplied he was average, not interested in requests played what he liked and the sparse dancefloor showed his taste was not that of the audience.

We had a great time on New Year’s Eve aboard the Silver Sturgeon. It is a luxury cruise with good food and service, where you can see all of the London landmarks on such a special day. Best part is the fireworks, we got close to the action and had a truly spectacular and unforgettable fireworks display!

The Silver Sturgeon is a beautiful, luxurious and stylish vessel. Starting with champagne in the aft reception area was a great introduction to the boat with plenty of room to sit or stand chatting and sipping. Top ups were plentiful, supplied by the friendly, smart and professional staff until we departed the Pier for our trip along the Thames. We (two) were shown to our beautifully laid table with very comfortable leather seating in a single booth. I was concerned we would be sharing the booth with others, but no, we had it all to ourselves with great window views of the Thames. The wine continued to flow and our meal was served shortly after leaving the Pier. The crab starter was delicious, as was the Cornish lamb and the strawberries with meringue were perfect to finish. I have an intolerance problem with cream and the chef provided perfect cream free alternatives. The service was brilliant by all staff. Travelling along the Thames, taking in the large number of landmark buildings was great fun. We just seemed to glide through the choppy waters. And, watching the activity on the river by so many other vessels was interesting too. The overall cost was a tad above what I've paid for a restaurant dinner by itself. So, to include all the champagne and the river experience was excellent value. My only regret is that these trips for two are not available more frequently or for Christmas. So, well done to the Woods family you have a fabulous vessel giving excellent service and enjoyment!!

This was a surprise birthday present from my partner. We went on the Friday Laurent Perrier cruise and every single thing was amazing. Champagne on the deck, spectacular food (the seafood starter in particular), brilliant service and a really lovely atmosphere. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to splash out.
