Feedback gevenOn Mondays, they offer half-price meals and we happened to notice the sign while we were passing by. The food was decent, but the staff appeared disinterested and rushed. Our waiter didn't make much effort to answer our questions about the menu. Overall, it was an okay experience, but nothing worth raving about.
We visited this restaurant for lunch and sat in the outdoor area, which we preferred over the indoor space. We ordered a veggie burrito, Moroccan lamb, nachos, and Southfries chicken, and all the food was delicious and fantastic.
Nothing remarkable from this chain, but a very efficient establishment doing what it does very well. Nice 'clean ' atmosphere. Plenty of room, seating. Large range of drinks. Enjoyed our visit.
It is rare that I am so negative about a place I visit but our experience here was very poor. We arrived in the afternoon to an empty pub. We counted just 7 other customers. We ordered our food and was told it would take up to 45 minutes as the chef was off and a manager was the acting cook! Yet the pub was empty. Fortunately, it arrived in half the time. Whilst we waited, 4 members of (the kitchen/serving? staff stood at the end of the bar and chatted. So we used serviettes to clean the sticky table top ourselves. If one staff member had been on customer alert maybe s/he would have popped over to clean the table for us. We checked the knives and forks laid out on the table and all were stained and not properly cleaned. So we pushed them into a pile to one side. When the food arrived the fish and chips were bland with soggy batter. The curry had been over microwaved and the chicken pieces hard. Maybe the manager should be given training on how to cook basic food and how to use the microwave. S/he is clearly unable to set an example. Thank goodness it was Half price Monday . I suppose you get what you pay for. After the food was laid before us we asked for clean knives and forks. They arrived without comment and the pile of dirty knives and forks ignored, left on the table and not taken away. I suppose the chat at the bar was more important than customer service and satisfaction. Previous reviews are far more positive than mine, so we are clearly out of sync with others. But will we return? Never. Will we recommend? Never. Will the staff care? Of course not.
Visited this restaurant twice and both times had a friendly welcome from the same waitress, who remembered us. Place seemed quiet on both occasssions but seemed to have a tick-over trade. Reasonably priced food to an acceptable standard. Clean but interior starting to look a bit tired, and gents toilets are down a flight of stairs, although the ladies is on the level . Entrance steps are a bit off putting, but they do have a step lift for disabled access.
